At Faubion, we're incredibly grateful for our dedicated volunteers who play a vital role in creating a supportive and welcoming environment for our students. To continue volunteering on campus, please ensure you've completed the required district volunteer registration for this school year.

Step 1 - Register with LISD
To volunteer on campus, you MUST be a district approved volunteer. Your application must be renewed EVERY year. Please take a moment to make sure you have completed the volunteer registration for this school year.

Step 2 - Sign up with Faubion
Join the Volunteer contact list- If you are willing to consider helping volunteer with setting up events, chaperoning, decorating, or being a general helping hand then please sign up so we know its okay to reach out to you.
Step 3 - Sign up with these different opportunities.
There are a number of different opportunities to volunteer that happen each year. We will add those sign-ups here as they become available.

Help Your Teacher
Grade Level Representative / Coordinators
Grade Reps serve as an extra communication arm between teachers and parents.
These are people who are willing to be contacted by the teacher to help organize class parties or help with cutting or folder stuffing.
There will be two class parties that you will help organize by creating a sign up list for food / supplies, and assisting the teacher the day of with set up, clean up, and facilitating crafts or games.

General Classroom Helpers
Your child's teacher always needs help and your child will be proud to show off their parent who is volunteering. You can even help from your own home! Please contact your teacher or Room Rep to see how you can help.
Education Connection
Education Connection is a non-profit that works with Leander ISD and many other ISD's to help elementary students in Central Texas public schools to read by the end of 3rd grade so they can become lifelong learners.
Each Volunteer, or Literacy Partner, will spend 30 mins each week reading books with our Faubion Students. You will be paired with 2 students and spend 15 mins with each one. First the student will read an on level book provided by their teacher, then you will read a book to them selected from the Faubion Library.

Join the PTA and Fill an Open Position
If you would like to take a more active roll on the PTA we have several Board Positions currently Open.
Membership Chair
This person will attend the monthly PTA Board Meetings.
This person will help coordinate a kick-off ‘Membership Week’ during the fall
semester
This person shall be responsible for submitting Faubion PTA members and
payment to Texas PTA
This person shall be responsible for tracking and submitting any Membership
awards Faubion PTA is eligible for from the National or Texas PTA
Teacher Appreciation Chair
This person will attend the monthly PTA Board Meetings.
This person will help coordinate a monthly teacher appreciation event using the available PTA funds. These range from snack carts to coordinating meals, or the staff easter egg hunt.
This person will also be in charge of Coordinating teacher appreciation Week in May.
Grade Level Representative Coordinator
This person will only attend board meetings if they have a need, that the entire board needs to address.
They will simply help remind the Grade Level Reps of when to start planning and offer extra support to teachers that may be short a Representative.
